Es entstand eine Philosophie, ein gemeinsames Lebensgefühl, wo Banalitäten wie Erfolg, Geld, Ruhm oder Ehre keine Rolle mehr spielen. Einzig und allein ihr Status quo, der Groove und die Spielfreude zählen, um musikalisch das auszudrücken, was im Inneren jedes Einzelnen schon lange rumorte.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOb der angestrebte Musikstil dabei überhaupt eine Rolle spielt ist fraglich. Dass diese Band - wie auch jede andere Band, welche ernsthaft und überzeugend Musik aufführen will - beim Genre keine Wahlmöglichkeiten hat, ist selbstverständlich. Ein Musiker muss sich freimachen können von altbackenem Schubladendenken oder finanziellen Erfolgserwartungen und sich zu dem Bekennen, was ihn selbst schon immer am meisten überzeugt hat. Diese Erkenntnis konnten die vier Mitglieder von „The Taste“ bereits vor der Bandgründung auf ihrer langen Reise durch den Dschungel der musikalischen Vielfalt gewinnen, ehe sie sich entschlossen, dem einzig wahren Stil zu folgen, ihrer inneren Stimme. Dass sich das gut anfühlt, wird dem Zuhörer spätestens beim Besuch eines Konzerts von „The Taste“ bewusst, wenn er die Energie einer Band, welche keinerlei Ansprüche hat außer an ihre eigene Musik, geballt von der Bühne am eigenen Leib spüren kann.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNach dem gelungenen Erstling „Come with me“ Anfang 2015 veröffentlichen sie gegen Ende des Sommers bereits ihre neue Platte „killed snake, built shoes“ und gehen damit noch einen Schritt weiter weg vom alltäglichen Musikbrei in Richtung Vintage Rock. Die Aufnahme der Tracks live auf 8-Spur Tonband sowie die Pressung auf Vinyl sind klar ein weiteres Statement für musikalische Leidenschaft und Qualitätsanspruch.
