The Martin BM delivers a genuine solid-wood feel and a surprising amount of acoustic punch without being as bulky as some other jumbo basses. The mahogany body with a solid Sitka spruce top provides warm, harmonically rich low-mids, while the slim mahogany neck and the grippy rosewood fingerboard (34" scale) provide the playful handling of an electric bass. The integrated Fishman Prefix preamp makes it instantly stage-ready: plug and play into the mixer, adjust the 3-band EQ, and you're done.
