Description

Martin D-13E – Road Series Dreadnought with big sound & modern stage

The D-13E is Martin's "best-value" dreadnought for players seeking full Martin sound, sophisticated looks, and stage-ready electronics all in one instrument. A solid Sitka spruce top meets high-gloss Ziricote fine veneer sides and back – this delivers typical Martin punch, but with added brilliance and an attractive, marbled look. The Performing Artist neck (low oval profile, high-performance taper) with its FSC-certified Richlite® fingerboard plays comfortably and modernly, even at the highest registers. The Fishman MX-T system ensures live performance: a pickup + a tuner hidden in the soundhole, which automatically mutes the signal when tuning.

Sound & Feel

  • Acoustic : Dreadnought-typical volume, clearly focused highs, rich low-end presence – ideal for strumming, flat-picking and singer/songwriter sets.

  • Electrical : The MX-T preamp delivers a natural plug-in signal; the silent soundhole tuner saves pedal space and prevents vocal feedback.

  • Playability : Compound-style neck geometry and 16″ fingerboard radius (above) combine vintage feel with modern bend handling.
