A sought-after man
As one of the few country stars, Chris Stapleton has managed to make a name for himself outside of the USA. In 2023, the eight-time Grammy winner will release his new album "Higher" and is expected to further expand his fan base worldwide.
With his first three studio albums alone, the talented American artist has already sold more than 8 million records, half of which with his debut "Traveller" from 2015.
Chris Stapleton's secret to success is his powerful, soulful voice and his great knack for catchy songwriting. Both qualities have not only brought him to the top of the US charts, but he is also highly sought after as a collaborator. Whether it's Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, or Adele, the 45-year-old has sung or co-written songs with many musical greats.
Chris Stapleton recorded his fifth solo album "Higher" once again in the country mecca Nashville. On many songs, he is supported by his wife Morgane as a background singer. Both are also credited as co-producers. However, Dave Cobb, a professional for authentic country and Americana sound who has worked with Lady Gaga and Jason Isbell, among others, was primarily behind the controls.
The result is a great and varied country-rock album, with which Chris Stapleton is likely to find himself at the top of the charts once again.
