More from the Jazz crate
The record
"I got ramblin' on my mind" sings underground blues king Robert Johnson in one of his lyrics. Moving on and staying in search of what may lie ahead.
To walk a path, we don't always need a destination, but we do need something to drive us.
For the versatile Stuttgart guitarist, songwriter & producer Christoph Neuhaus, this inner drive is to combine the rawness and authenticity of the blues with funk grooves and the sophistication of jazz with the graceful melancholy of folk music.
On the turntable, Hendrix spins alongside Bon Iver, Jose Gonzales alongside Jim Hall. Equally inspired by soul and spirit, he sits down at his instrument, composes and writes lyrics with an always curious openness about what will emerge this time.
RAMBLIN BIRD stands as a pseudonym for Christoph Neuhaus's creative output, but also for the assembly of special musicians.
Neuhaus found such an exciting connection in the lineup of singer Caro Trischler, as well as pianist/keyboardist Ulf Kleiner, double bassist Sebastian Schuster, and drummer Daniel Mudrack.
A band of 5 award-winning characters.
Virtuosic, busy musicians and open-minded artists who come together from all over Germany.
Since their formation, they have continuously worked on an original and versatile sound - authentic, handmade music dedicated to the song's message.
