Description
When the acid jazz and Mojo Club generation discovered Jimmy Smith, the album "Root Down" was always right up there. On the 1972 live album, the Hammond B3 legend plays tracks with a good dose of funk and rock with a young band. The title track was sampled by the Beastie Boys in 1995 for their song of the same name.
