James Brown - Let's get Personal

James Brown is the greatest genius of Black music. Above all, his name stands for one thing: FUNK! Without James Brown, there would have been no Maceo Parker, Bootsy Collins, Michael Jackson, Booker T. & The M.G.'s, The Meters, Sly Stone, George Clinton, Prince, and many, many more. Additionally, Brown was also a unique performer, unmatched by anyone after him: Who knows that the Stones didn't want him as their opening act for their first US tour because they were afraid that after Brown, nothing else would be able to follow?! If you're in doubt: just listen to his recordings from the early 70s - if you don't feel the funk then, you don't deserve it! Now from Bosworth, the translation of Geoff Brown's original biography. With many details, voices of his fellow musicians and colleagues, and many photos.
