Description
Mourn the good old days? Lose yourself in a sense of identity with countless homages to the graying greats and legends? In a hopeless attempt to reinvent the wheel, penetrate sonic spheres that should no longer be associated with the term "music" in the true sense of the word? Why?
A band without goals. Founded out of necessity. The need for the coming together of four musicians who had enjoyed local and international success and gained experience over the past decade with various formations. Growing out of the constant thought of combining this considerable expertise into a unique project at some point.
And so, more than just a band, a musical style, or some awkward mix of the like was born. It was a philosophy, a shared attitude to life, where banalities like success, money, fame, or honor no longer matter. All that matters is their status quo, the groove, and the joy of playing, expressing musically what had long been churning inside each individual.
Whether the desired musical style plays any role at all is questionable. It goes without saying that this band - like any other band that wants to perform music seriously and convincingly - has no choice when it comes to genre. A musician must be able to free themselves from outdated stereotypical thinking or expectations of financial success and commit to what has always convinced them most. The four members of "The Taste" were able to come to this realization even before the band was founded, on their long journey through the jungle of musical diversity, before they decided to follow the one true style, their inner voice. The listener will realize that this feels good at the latest when attending a "The Taste" concert, when they can feel for themselves the energy of a band that has no demands other than their own music, concentrated on the stage.
Following their successful debut album, "Come with Me," at the beginning of 2015, they are releasing their new album, "Killed Snake, Built Shoes," towards the end of this summer, taking a step further away from the everyday mush of music and moving toward vintage rock. Recording the tracks live on 8-track tape and pressing them on vinyl are a clear further statement of musical passion and quality. To ensure a modern-day feel, the album, including the new single "Vine," will be available from all major online stores starting August 27, 2016.
